I began photographing weddings as a documentary photographer over 15 years ago for friends and clients who wanted me to cover their big day as I would a photojournalistic assignment: discreetly and unobtrusively; capturing candid, natural moments in a relaxed and informal way, without fuss or interference.
When not shooting weddings, I divide my time between photojournalism and portrait photography - working for broadsheet newspapers and magazines - and doing people-based 'lifestyle' shoots for big companies such as Nokia and Yahoo. This breadth and diversity of professional experience is, I hope, reflected in the quality of my wedding images.
